Operating Information
Correct application
- Use only technically perfect, serviced handpieces.
- Clean the handpiece chuck regularly.
- Instruments must be inserted as far as possible.
- Use eye-shield and dust-extraction.
- Instruments should reach the operating speed before
they are applied to the work piece.
- Avoid canting or levering the instrument as this
increases the risk of breakage.
Working Pressure
Excessive working pressure must be avoided.
Pressure: 0.2 – 5 N
Worn Instruments
Fractured and incorrectly shaped blades cause vibrations.
Bent or non-concentric rotary instruments must be
disposed of.
Recommended Speeds
Non-adherence to the maximum permissible speeds
increases the risk of accidents.
Please Note:
Using cutters marked with the indentation codes 50 - 85
the grinding movements must be done under constant
pressure operating the instrument at the recommended
speed.
Danger of Injury – soft, timid or hesitant use of large
intended instruments causes rock or toss vibration with
the possibility of a shaft breakage.
